Tolling Legal Malpractice Claims
The Indiana Court of Appeals reinstated a woman’s complaint against her attorney, finding the attorney mislead his client into believing that he had filed a claim in her behalf. The court found that his conduct tolled the 2 year statute of limitations. The ruling is significant because it relaxes the statute of limitations – and promotes justice – for the damaged client.
