Health Care Insurance From an Insider’s View

Bill Moyers’ half hour interview with Wendell Potter, formerly head of PR for Cigna helps shed light on the health care debate. Potter is the guy who quit his high profile job at CIGNA because he could no longer stomach what he was being asked to defend. Reminds me of the tobacco executives.

Potter’s reaction to the long lines of folks waiting at a county fair grounds to get brief free medical treatment in tents and animal stalls was just right: “What country am I in?” The question for us now is whether we want to continue to let the interests of Wall St override our own national welfare.
