Atlanta’s Underground Explosion

Monday night, February 18, 2013 an underground explosion in Atlanta sent five manhole covers, each weighing 425 pounds up to six feet in the air.  It is a miracle that no one was injured. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/businesses-feel-fiscal-effects-manhole-explosion/nWSyg/  The ignition source has yet to be determined but the magnitude of the blast is evident.  Clearly gas transmission companies need to inspect, repair and/or replace all suspect gas pipe lines.
