Alabama deserves aggressive representation

The attorney general is the lawyer for the state of Alabama and like a good corporate attorney he should vigilantly protect the rights of his client. Troy King should follow the example of aggressive attorney generals who protect their constituents by filing suits against companies who engage in illegal and deceptive practices within the state. A good recent example is the Massachusetts attorney general Martha Coakley who reached a $60 million dollar settlement in behalf of consumers and the state of Massachusetts as a result of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in connection with illegal mortgage practices.
